This is the language they understand – Bashir Ahmad mocks tweeps

Personal Assistant to the President on Digital and New Media, Bashir Ahmad, on Saturday, took to his Facebook page, to taunt the Nigerian tweeps over the suspension of the ‘operations’ of the microblogging site in the country.

In his post, he wrote that the action of the government to ban the social media app in Nigeria is what suits the people of the country.

“The is exactly the language they clearly understand,” he posted on Facebook.

The post attracted hundreds of comments in less than an hour, with many Nigerians lambasting Ahmad and his principal, President Buhari, for “undemocratic practices”

This is even coming after the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, ordered the immediate prosecution of persons who violate the Federal Government’s order suspending Twitter operations in Nigeria.

Malami, in a statement released on Saturday by his spokesman, Umar Gwandu, gave the directive to the Director of Public Prosecution of the Federation.
